CORE Program: 12-Week Course

  • 1727 N. Vermont Av

Service Description

Dates TBD Saturdays, 11am - 2pm 12 weeks Discover the bedrock of narrative improvisation in CORE 1, the inaugural workshop of Impro's four-part CORE curriculum. In this class, we redefine the essence of improvisation, prioritizing nonverbal elements like emotion, sensory input, stage composition, and movement, over quick wit and preconceived ideas. We encourage our students to slow down, emphasize the significance of stagecraft, acting, and environment, and explore the power of silences. Drawing inspiration from Patsy Rodenburg's Second Circle, Anne Bogart's Viewpoints, and Rudolf Laban's movement analysis, CORE 1 lays the foundation for a unique improvisational journey that will elevate your storytelling skills. Join us to embark on an adventure that transforms the way you approach narrative improvisation. Your journey begins here.
