Service Description

DATES TBD Tuesdays 7pm-10pm 12 weeks Genre CORE part 4 of our CORE classes. Students incorporate the elements of previous CORE classes and layer on a genre. In Genre CORE students study a genre or genres, typically one of the genres from Impro's professional performance repertoire. We study style, themes, characters and motifs of the writer or style and work on incorporating those into the plays we improvise. This class culminates in a live performance on the Ellen Idelson Stage at Impro Studio. Improvising in a genre requires studying the source material, which the Faculty will assign.. Students can anticipate homework, including viewing and reading. Our instructors make every effort to provide or assign materials that are accessible at no extra cost, though it's worth noting that some additional resources may incur nominal expenses.
