About the event
Impro Theatre focuses on ensemble narrative storytelling. Most shows tend to flow like a one hour theatrical play rather than a series of games or multi-part format. Some shows may be a series of short stories or have a specific structure but all require players to focus on playing as part of an ensemble rather than as an individual.
It will be a low-pressure group audition, similar to an improv jam. The directors will take participants through a series of exercises highlighting cooperative scene-building, creating characters, establishing relationships, discovering the story together, and exploring genre.
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring water, perhaps a snack. Be ready to play. There is nothing to prepare.

The recipe will also include Shelley, Poe, Wells, Dunsany, Clark Ashton Smith, and others. The setting will be the turn of the century, just before a terrible horror is revealed, and the consequences thereof. Most of the laughter will be nervous laughter; anxiety, melancholy, fear, terror, and horror are the colors on the palette we will draw from
